Best Practices of the Department : Zoo Club
The Zoo Club engages in a variety of activities aimed at promoting wildlife conservation and environmental awareness. From organizing Wildlife Week celebrations and nature walks, to hosting quiz competitions and poster competitions. The Zoo club offers diverse opportunities for students to learn, participate and contribute to conservation efforts. Through these activities, the club aims to achieve several interconnected objectives, all geared towards fostering a deeper understanding, appreciation and active engagement in wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship among students. Additionally, a career guidance lecture provides valuable insights into potential paths in wildlife conservation and related fields. Nature walks through nearby protected forests allow students to connect with nature firsthand, while excursion tours provide immersive experiences in observing wildlife in its natural habitat. The overarching objective of the Zoo Club is to inspire students to become advocates for wildlife conservation, nurturing a sense of responsibility towards protecting our planet’s precious biodiversity. The club’s initiatives not only educate its students but also inspire them to become proactive advocates for wildlife conservation, fostering a sense of responsibility towards preserving our planet’s natural heritage.
